Cheryl Casciani Joins the Department of Planning

Cheryl Casciani has joined the Department of Planning as the Director of Community Planning and Revitalization, leading a team of Community Planners.

BALTIMORE, MD FEBRUARY 3, 2020 - Prior to joining the Department of Planning, Cheryl worked for 20 years at the Baltimore Community Foundation (BCF) where she advanced the City’s Sustainability Plan, participated on BCF’s Impact Investing team, supported several family foundationsm, and helped to develop and manage the Foundation’s discretionary grants program.  

Cheryl was also formerly the Executive Director of Citizens Planning and Housing Association.  Cheryl came to CPHA after over seven years with the Annie E. Casey Foundation where she developed and managed the Children and Family Fellowship.

Cheryl received an MBA from the Yale School of Management in 1988 and a Bachelors of Science (BS) in Economics and Bachelors of Applied Science from the University of Pennsylvania in 1982. She currently resides in Baltimore’s Mt. Vernon neighborhood and is involved in numerous civic activities, including the immediate past chair of the Chair of the Baltimore City Board of School Commissioners and a member of the Creative Alliance board.
